Pretty good chicken waterer, but not perfect.

This is quite a big water holder and my only complaint is that the plastic handle seems really weak. I can't imagine hanging it when the waterer is full and not having it break. The biggest problem I have with putting the waterer on bricks, instead of hanging, is that my chickens scratch so much that it always gets full of dirt and straw and I have to clean it out twice a day. It doesn't really save me any effort. I am going to try it out less than half full and with a stronger handle.

Considering that this is a product one needs when the temperature drops below freezing, it's hard to understand why it would have been designed to fill upside down, from a small stoppered hole in the bottom, requiring the user to flip it over before plugging it into an electrical cord. This requires dexterity, often lacking when fingers are frozen, and hesitation or a slip of the hands results in the unit losing most of its liquid contents while it's being turned, forcing the poor user to start all over again and refill the thing.



Also, when it's cold outside, the plug that the unit's prongs fit into sometimes gets wet and then freezes, rendering it very difficult to insert the prongs into the plug. Again, this is not something anyone wants to play around with at 4 degrees with a windchill making it feel in the minus range. Compounding these frustrations is the relatively small capacity of the fount - three gallons - making it necessary to go through all this torture once or twice a day. After getting soaked repeatedly and freezing my fingers, I have just ordered a heated base which I will use with my galvanized 5-gallon waterer which conveniently fills from the top and doesn't require acrobatics to set up.

My problem kitty seems to love this gourmet series from Fancy Feast. She can't have the bit sized version since her previous owner kicked out half of her teeth, but these have proven to not only put weight on her (she was starved when I got her), but also build up her muscle mass, increase her alertness, develop better skin tone, and well, you should see how shiny her cost has become with these foods. Great stuff, great job Friskies! Highly recommend!

All five of the Fancy Feast subscriptions I signed up for have been unreliable. Im October, I signed up for delivery every two months and received shipments only in October and December (it's now March 18, but I canceled all of my subscriptions yesterday). What was supposed to be 48-can cases Amazon turned into 24-can cases, with one flavor being canceled entirely. I was notified by Amazon that shipments would be sent in mid-February, but they never arrived.

While I don't have cats, I have two shetland sheepdogs, one 22 lbs, the other 30 lbs. My 30 lbs girl is the one who could use a few pounds and she was getting far too good at removing kibbles from her Premier Waggle and her large Tricky Treat Ball. Neither of these toys are adjustable in how much comes out, unless you want to get larger kibble and I didn't want to change kibbles.



I stumbled across this item and ordered one because I like the idea that it's adjustable. There are two types of holes the food can come out of: a set of 3 smaller round holes, and another set of 3 larger holes. You adjust which holes you want by unlocking a little mechanism and twisting half of the ball so that it's where ever you want it. I have it set on the larger holes but the large holes are too big for my kibble, so I've twisted it to where only part of the larger holes are revealed. I'm also considering covering one of the 3 holes with tape on the inside so kibble can only come out of 2 holes.



The dogs love these, they roll them around with their noses. My younger boy sheltie was intrigued by it even when it was empty, he can *just* fit it in his mouth and he "noms" on it. He might be able to crack the plastic by doing this, so I take it away when it's empty.



You fill the toy by unscrewing an end cap of the ball. It's a good sized hole so it's easy to fill. My boy sheltie is able to grasp the little knob on this cap and unscrew it so all the kibble dumps out (it doesn't have to be turned far, less than a half turn). Clever boy! I covered the cap with electrician's tape so he can't unscrew it. However, he can also grip both halves of the ball and twist them so that the large holes are fully exposed, even though it's supposed to be "locked". I'll try tape again there to keep him from twisting it. I don't knock a star off for this because this toy wasn't made for dogs, it's made for cats who are quite a bit smaller than my dogs. I just wanted to see if I could make this work for my pups, and with a little fiddling, it will.



My girl sheltie only rolls this ball around to get food out, she doesn't try to open it like the boy does.



I'm ordering another so my pups don't have to share a ball.

I am very happy with this heated dog bed. My dog is old and can't jump up on our bed at night to keep warm. This works great for her. I keep it off all day, but when night comes, she is ready to jump in. I would highly recommend this product. I checked prices in stores and online and Amazon was by far the cheapest.


Don't waste your money

My dog is disabled and we got this bed thinking the heat would help her when she sleeps and we are working. The bed is not soft, rather hard wavy on the bottom and it does not heat hardly at all, not even enough to really feel it not to mention helping an animal laying on it. I thought it was just my dog but my son's two dogs and my other two dogs won't go near it either. What a waste of money for the price.

I got them right away and the delivery doesnt took very long. My kittens love it. Although, I wish they have replacement for the cover so that when I wash the cover, I can put a cleaned one right away. If not, this product should have 5 stars.

Excellent dense orthopedic foam; I bought a medium and my two pugs love to sleep in it together. Much better quality than another company that I previously bought from. I haven't tried the heater yet since it is now summer, but I'm sure it will keep the pugs toasty during those long Chicago winter months :-)
